They are everywhere. You have to chicken-wire off any potential nesting areas on your balcony as they are pretty damn persistent. I pigeon couple nested on the cupboard on my balcony when I moved in five years ago. They had a nest with an egg in it and I was soft. I didn't get rid of it. Five years later the family is now seven birds.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Not long ago I astro-turfed the balcony to hide the ruined balcony floor from all the pigeon shit. I also threw the nest away (complete with eggs.) Then I fenced off the area above the cupboard so they can't come back. It took more than two months of them trying every five minutes to fly through the chicken wire to get back to their nesting area, that it wasn't gonna work.&lt;br&gt;
